Way back in "Time Immemorial" most of the Masonic Lodges in Genesee, Shiawasee, Oakland and Lapeer counties were assigned to Masonic District #20 by the Grand Lodge of Masons of Michigan.

As the District #20 Lodges grew in membership and effect, the Grand Lodge divided the District into District #20a and District #20b.  The Brethren of these counties had developed a special bond between the Lodges that could not be seperated by change.  There have been further  changes in the district assignments in recent years.  The Grand Lodge has re-assigned the Board of General Purposes Represenatives and the District Deputy Instructors into representing the same districts and have reassigned Lodges to different Districts.

The Brotherhood of Ancient District #20 Lodges was not to be denided.  They formed the "King Solomon's Club" of Ancient District #20 of Michigan to continue their Brotherhood bond.
  There are three Districts represented:

Every Master Mason of these Lodges is automaticly a member of the King Solomon's club when he is raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason.  Each receives a King Solomon Club lapel pin.

There are NO DUES collected.  The Club meets four times a year, usually on a Saturday.  They confer an Outdoor Master Mason Degree in Augyst of each year.  Also, they elect an Ancient District #20 Worshipful Master of the Year and an Anicent District #20 Mason of the Year from among the Lodges in the King Solomon Club.
